The number of IT professional vacancies within the Netherlands is steadily continuing to grow, according to industry analysts, continuing the demand for IT professionals in the Netherlands.
The demand for IT professionals in the Netherlands increased by over 11% throughout the third quarter, in comparison to the same time period during 2013. The biggest demand by far was, not just in regards to IT professionals in the Netherlands but instead the overall job market, the demand for software developers, with an enormous request for 40,000 developers from January to September. Large demands for 17,000 administrators were also sought during this time.
This increasing request is due to the current e-commerce trends, as companies continue to move forward towards mobile and online presences over more traditional methods. Various industries are following the ‘bricks to clicks’ methodology in relation to IT professionals in the Netherlands, larger numbers of companies making their services or quotations available online.
There was also a further demand for security officers, although compared to the aforementioned positions 1,200 may sound small, the demands for security officers result in a year-on-year growth of over 80%.
